Cape Town, Garden Route, Wine Route & Knysna - 9 Day Coach Tour


CAPE TOWN - THE MOTHER CITY
Cape Town - Waterfront With its ancient tradition of hospitality and a modern reputation as the favourite destination of South Africans and visitors alike, the city of Cape Town is funky and old, vibrant, colourful and exciting.

DAY 1:
Arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure and recover from your long flight.
DAY 2:
Weather permitting, we visit Table Mountain. If not, then The Castle of Good Hope (9:00). The latter part of the day we visit Robben Island.
DAY 3:
Departure (10:00). We will be visiting the Wine lands. This incorporates a visit to a wine estate. Arrival in Mossel Bay (17:00).
MOSSEL BAY
The place where culture and nature meets! Mossel Bay, the historical capital of South Africa.

DAY 4:
Today you will be taken on a Seal Island Trip and a Boat-Based Whale Watching (June to October). View the whales from as close as 50 meters! Departure (14:00) for Oudtshoorn.
OUDTSHOORN
The ultimate Destination. Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world - but the world's biggest bird is just one of the many attractions in this area of enormous contrasts.

DAY 5:
Today we will visit the Klein Karoo's oldest and most popular attraction - The Cango Caves. Three systems of spectacular limestone caverns have been discovered all filled with a wonderland of stalactites, stalagmites and helictites.
DAY 6:
This will be the day you get the opportunity to get in 'close' contact with an Ostrich... Departure (12:00) for Knysna. Visit to the Knysna Elephant Park- your chance to feed them in the wild!

Cango Caves Ostriches
KNYSNA
Place of People, Beauty and Mystery. The mystery starts with the name of Knysna, when and where it came from. Very little is known about the people who inhabited the Knysna area before 1760, when the first European explorers passed through here. The deep gorges and high mountains that are today so easy to cross were then almost impassable for European travellers.

DAY 7:
Shopping Time! The whole day at your leisure! Departure (17:00) for Plettenberg Bay.

PLETTENBERG BAY
"It's a Beautiful Day in Plettenberg Bay". You'll never forget your first sight of this beautiful Bay. It's astonishing. With a backdrop of majestic mountains stretching from horizon to horizon, the town lies to one side under a sunny sky and amongst a collage of green forests and fynbos that are separated from the blue of the Indian Ocean by endless white and sandy beaches.

DAY 8:
Visit to Monkey land where you will be taken on a guided monkey safari led by a knowledgeable ranger. Walk across the longest (128m) suspension bridge in Africa. We will also visit the Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa's pioneering marine reserve.
DAY 9:
End of tour. Transfer to George Airport.
